Pune: In a landmark step toward redefining the future of engineering education, Pune-based startup FireBirdVR, a pioneer in immersive learning solutions, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vishwakarma Institutes and University (VI&U) to roll out GuruVR Metaversity — its flagship Extended Reality (XR) learning platform.
This strategic partnership is set to empower students with experiential, hands-on learning through immersive technologies, enabling a “do and learn” approach rather than the traditional “learn and do.”
Key Highlights of the Partnership:
FireBirdVR will lead initiatives in technology upgrades, skill-building programs, R&D collaborations, industry training, guest lectures, internships, and placement support.
VI&U will provide XR-compatible infrastructure and manage the Freemium subscription model for students to access GuruVR Metaversity content.
The device-agnostic platform enables seamless access to immersive educational modules, ensuring flexibility without compromising educational depth.
Yogesh Surwase, Co-Founder and Director at FireBirdVR, said, “This partnership with Vishwakarma Institutes & University represents our shared vision to revolutionize engineering education through the power of XR. Our heartfelt thanks to Bharat Agarwal sir and Vivek Deshpande sir, as well as the entire VI&U team for believing in our mission. This is just the beginning—we are excited to co-create a new chapter in learning.”
GuruVR Metaversity brings together next-gen XR tools, enabling institutions to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The platform aligns with National Education Policy (NEP) goals by fostering experiential, flexible, and skill-based learning environments.
FireBirdVR GuruVR Metaversity – Next Evolution in Engineering Learning
With immersive education rapidly transforming higher education, this collaboration signals a shift toward the next evolution in engineering learning — where virtual labs, real-time simulations, and interactive 3D models redefine student engagement and outcomes.
